Since I subscribe to the notion, “All Is Mind” while in this human form, then, Yes, The Black Community is a mental construct we have all agreed upon, on some level of consciousness or another. Our Culture is also a mental construct of morals, values, and behaviors we have agreed upon based on our educational development, social conditioning, and inherited life experiences. The Black Community is also Physical Location, do again to social conditioning, economic conditions, and familiar ties. The only thing that is a figment of our imagination, is referencing the term Black to identify ourselves as a group of people. As Wikipedia states, “ [B]lack people is not necessarily an indicator of skin color or ethnic origin, but is instead a socially based racial classification related to being African American, with a family history typically associated with institutionalized slavery.” Nevertheless, we have called ourselves Black for so long it is mentally and culturally acceptable to be BLACK!
